postponed = deferred. It doesn't mean that they didn't have time to look at your application. They admit primarily in-state applicants in EA. Their goal is 50/50 in state/OOS and they have many many more OOS applicants.

UMich stopped using affirmative action, like the Cal schools, in their admissions processes years ago. DEI is not just about race but everyone seems to want to make it seem that way or that DEI = no merit. And affirmative action benefitted white women the most.

I agree that's not cool to offer EA and then not even look at the app - feels like breaking a contract. If a kid goes through the trouble of applying early, colleges should be obligated to review.
