Other people's houses is not typical in this culture.

But op sounds like someone who wants to be queen bee and probably jealous of the new girlfriend.

Is part of the dcum group that feels grandparents can only visit one group of grandkids at a time.

And is a smug married.

So weird. Was that in some kind of invisible ink in the OP?

So much projection of your own issues. Literally, nowhere did the OP indicate or sound like someone "who wants to be queen bee and probably jealous of the new girlfriend".

It's safe to say you're the same sort as Op

I think that the girlfriend opens up the issue. You could say something to your husband like, "Now that Will is dating Kelly, I think it's best if you check in with me before inviting him over. It changes the dynamic."

We've had this thread posted before. We get it, you don't like your brother-in-law.

No siblings do not have an automatic invite to any event, holiday or birthday! Normal people do not do this.

My BIL always take SIL out for a romantic dinner. I can’t imagine tagging along. My kids always have large parties with a ton of friends and classmates. BIL/SIL would be bored out of their minds. If we have neighbors over for dinner we wouldn’t expect to tack on in laws/ siblings.
