Sigh
People really don't expect anything from the GOP.

Yes they would for me as a religious person because she did not exploit religion for cynical political purposes.
I would not have any objection to presidents with actual integrity not swearing oath of office on a bible -: except that Trump is carrying out a highly non Christian agenda while assuming a Godly mantle based on his recent anti-abortion hard line.

Putting your hand on the bible is just a formality. It doesn't stop people from abusing power, religion, or being a charlatan.

Nice try
This moment creates a photo op which has been one of the identifying pictures of the American presidency across the years.
I can believe a bunch of things about why Trump didn't touch the Bible, but it's not just a formality. But hey nine of his supporters care, so.... so what?
It's less than a formality; it's totally meaningless at best, and blasphemous at worst. It's a personal private choice, like what lapel pin to wear, that has nothing to do with the function of government.

No one cares.
To the contrary, if you are a person of faith, it is an issue. Just like that idiot couldn't say the Apostle's Creed at McCain's funeral.

Obviously it’s the symbolism that matters given how he has exploited religion for political gains.
Plenty of people care - many news outlets f on Fox, to People, to NYT to various broadcast news channels to The Hill ran stories on this omission.

Forgot!!! What a joke. Ignore maybe. Forgot not likely.
