Dont you go stir crazy sitting around for that long?

And no moving around to boot?

Do you even have an appetite given you and the kids don't do anything but sit for consecutive hours during the said movie marathon ?

Sorry you don’t have the mental focus to watch a couple of movies on a cold winter day?

I’m not the PP but agree with them.
It’s not a couple of movies if it’s all day,
We’ve been having movie evenings recently, having dinner on the couch while we watch. It’s a good way to spend a cold winter evening. But I couldn’t do it all day, and my tween couldn’t either.

Well la-di-da. you people are too much!

Take them to an indoor waterpark. You could also use the adjacent pool to drown your sorrows (as I do 3xweek).

Are you that incapable of enjoying some peace and quiet? There’s something pathological about needing to move around so much that you can’t imagine enjoying a couple of movies with your family.

+1 The everyday pace of family life with teens is demanding. We’ve enjoyed a relatively quiet weekend, and it’s been marvelous. We watched our first Commanders football game, and are all enjoying some additional well-earned down time today.

Wait. You hope your 14 year old is stupid or ignorant enough not to know it’s Inauguration Day??!? That’s 8th or 9th grade. Unless they don’t attend school, I assure you they know.

You are in for a rough four years. You need to train yourself to tune it out.

This place is fun, kind of like an escape room, but more hands on.

We'll end up playing in the snow, make hot chocolate bombs and build a fort. My kids are 8 and 4.

I hear the national mall will be empty now, plenty of space for them to run around.

Not PP you replied to, but when we "stay at home", we go for a long walk with the dog in our neighborhood. The kids use our indoor trampoline. I might be doing chores and cooking something elaborate. So even if we add a movie to this, we're not inactive.

Not the first responder but a "movie marathon" and adding a movie to the rest of your days activities are not the same thing. I, however, do not have a problem if you guys choose to go the full marathon route with some fun snacks added. Its a cold winter day.

What do you usually do on a day off?

Are you always this incompetent?
