I am flying my American flag upside down on Monday. Good enough for Fuhrer Alito, good enough for me.
That's ridiculous.
Not the PP but not ridiculous at all. America voted in a convicted felon, rapist and insurrectionist. Enjoy the snow next week!

Anonymous wrote:It seems like we’re going to get some amount of snow on Sunday, but the European models, which have been the most accurate historically, are calling for only 1-2”. And with everything being closed Monday for the holiday, if it really is 1-2” that’s not very impactful. I can’t remember if we closed or delayed or nothing at all for the last polar vortex in 2018.

They did but it was either 2013-2014 so you missed it. We had a polar vortex with sub zero temps and wind and the buses couldn’t start in those temps, nor did they want kids out in it .

Can only remember one time in last 10 years, but do remember.
How many snow days does FCPS have reserved this year? I can find online had 11 for 22-23, but can’t find for 24-25. Did someone say 7 in the longer snow thread? Where can we find that online and why # was reduced by almost 1/2?
We supposedly have 10, however when the early release Mondays were created, the Superintendent said it could be done because we were above the 990 seat hours that the state requires and there was a throw-away comment about how the built-in snow days buffer that requirement. Now that we have had 4, there has not been clarification on how many hours elementary and secondary have left.

I remember this. They could not get the busses started for 2 days. And it was NOT just FCPS, it was every district that were experiencing the extreme cold. Temps were in single digits with negative wind chills. Our buses are built(engines) differently than those in Northern US.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:No way. They aren't going to close for cold.
