+1. I just called the gorgeous Clifton Inn. It has top tier accomodations for May 18 at $288 a might and will drive you to UVA grounds. or take an uber

Except that OP is not telling the truth. I live in Charlottesville. I just called the Hiltom Garden Inn, near us on Rte 250, Pantops. On May 18-20 (UVA graduation) the rates for a double are $154-189 a night. And you call an uber to take you to grounds. See how easy that was? When our kid graduated we did stay at Wintergreen and parked in the barracks road shopping center and walked the very short distance to the lawn.. this is not rocket science.
