Yep. As long as we are the US of Guns we’re going to need a lot a jails.
Not really, most of the crime is a result of liberal DAs instituting catch and release programs with habitual criminals.
Will be interesting to see what happens in California after the fires. Money from the LA fire department was shifted to "fighting crime" that the Soros-sponsored LA District Attorney Gascon would not prosecute. Now that Gascon has been given the boot, the new DA can make sure to prosecute felons for house burglaries -- except there won't be any houses to burgle.

A lot of the "catch and release" is actually because "liberal DAs" who would love to put some of these criminals away can't make a case because right wing racist cops can't follow proper procedure and won't stop violating civil rights. It's not a one sided political problem or nearly as simple as you believe it to be.

Where do you think they are getting the guns...
Guns aren't shooting themselves. VA is #3 in gun ownership in the US yet the gun violence rate is lower than DC's rate.
I don't think anyone thinks the guns are shooting themselves.
Then why does it matter where the guns came from? The problem is the people of DC shooting others while engaged in a criminal act. Perhaps the focus should be convincing DC residents that life has value. Others have rights. Don't steal. Don't commit crimes where the targets have legal rights to carry guns aswell and will shoot back.
