This is different and maybe doesn’t fit but I’m very good at making written work shorter without changing the meaning. Mostly helpful to my kids when they need to cut words to meet a word limit. It’s a fun challenge. Wish it was more marketable.

Yes, I have an internal clock as well, OP. My ADHD-afflicted husband and son are time-blind.

I can read extremely quickly, almost by photographing entire paragraphs and imprinting them in my mind. It's not idetic, and solely with western alphabet words. Yet I have a very poor understanding of symbols other than the western alphabet: even though I'm pretty sensitive to musical phrasing on my instrument of choice, I cannot sight-read to save my life. I often mix up numbers as well. My suspicion is that my neuronal pathway to decode western alphabet words is so well-trodden and highly-myelinized, that the other pathways to decode other symbols are neglected and it makes me worse than average at trying to make sense of them.

Also, I'm a great listener, because I'm a people-pleaser and I'm shy I will listen carefully and ask thoughtful questions. People often spill out their life story or recent problems to me.

I'm great at making accurate numerical predictions, including distances and money, without the need for preliminary data. For example, last week we were at a friends second home and someone asked how far do you think the distance is from our house to the lighthouse in the water. I guessed the accurate distance (3.5 miles). What's the average height of women in the US (5'3.t ft).

Also, I don’t judge the people. I understand. I have empathy for them, I understand them.

So if you understand people so well and have empathy, why didn't you become a psychologist. Oh, because that would have taken effort to get your doctorate and actually learn that you don't know as much as you think you do.

I can wiggle.my ears and nose. I also have exceptional hearing. Although that's not really a great thing to have. I've overheard conversations I wish I didn't and I often hear sounds that no one else does so I can't identify where they are coming from. Sometimes my dog and I are the only ones obviously bothered by a noise in the house.

I always see the clock at 3:33pm!

Also, I’m quite good with directions. I just get a sense of things when walking around quite easily.

My DH was adopted by intellectually inferior people. He has perfect pitch and can play anything he has heard. They had no idea.

In my family both genders can (or can’t!) do it. About 1/4 of us can, some are better than others.

What an intriguing thread OP! I am sure that everyone has special gifts and talents that are not ostentatious but fun.

This is not weird and I thought everyone was the same until I have gradually learned that it is not all that common. We have lived all over the world and I make friends easily. I also keep long time friends and stay in touch. I try hard to adapt to the culture of wherever we are. People often like and trust me fairly quickly and I can talk to many different kinds of people. I genuinely like others and see myself in everyone to some degree. I try to respect boundaries and also look for the good in others. I am occasionally a jerk and am quick to apologize.

I am not great with time though so am envious of all the PPs with amazing time management skills.

I have this too. I am terrible with remembering names, but I can remember details about conversations, where they took place, and if a meal was involved, exactly what I and sometimes everyone was eating while we had the conversation. And I have found that people find it is odd if I meet them again several years later, confess that I can’t recall their name, but can say something like remember that dinner we had in Toronto where you mentioned that awesome new stereo system you had just installed?

My other weird talent is timing of cooking many different and often complex dishes so that they are all ready at the correct time, even if I have added new things to the menu. I do entertain a lot, and due to various dietary preferences and restrictions, meals may include 2-3 entrees and suitable sides for as many as 15-20 people.

I can reas people extremely fast.

I’ve been diagnosed with hyperthymesia. Basically I remember everything and can pull it up if needed.
