Very disappointed as it was his first choice. Currently attending CNU, but thinking of transferring.
Did he take a rigorous courseload? APs and intensified classes, 3 or 4 years of world language, etc?
JMU requires 4 years of language??

For anyone to think this could be useful information shows how truly clueless the status chasers are.
+1
Who cares if the professors went to ivies. Everyone has to work somewhere.
I care. I like professors who know the material well.

Wondering what stats/profiles get rejected because it's the only school in my senior's basket. While that makes me nervous, they seem to take it for granted they will get in. But our local school district data indicates almost half who applied last year did not get accepted.
What really matters is where your child fits in the district data. Is their gpa and SAT in line with the kids getting in? That’s your answer. The scattergram should be obvious

Explain why any rational student would do this.
Anonymous wrote:I know this is off topic but with all the people bashing the school, where you go to undergrad does not measure your success in life. One of our local orthodontists graduated from JMU, went to dental school at Temple, and orthodontist school at UMD. She’s killing it with 5 locations, a family with 3 young boys, now only working one day a week. Her lawyer husband helps her run the business. I’d say JMU worked out just fine.

Agree. If you're applying to JMU might as well shoot your shot to VT and try and get into the t75.
