That sounds like a made up job to keep someone busy who should be fired.

Possibly, or avoid a lawsuit that'll cost more...wink...wink...

For Tuckahoe, maybe 1/3 - 1/4 go to Swanson and the bulk go to Williamsburg. The slice of the Tuckahoe attendance zone that can walk to Westover split off to Swanson

If you have North Arlington money, I would look to one of the elementary schools that feed to DHMS. The principal is the beat I’ve seen in my time as an educator.

Our kids are long out of this stage but I get a kick out of reading these threads. You all will learned soon enough that you are wasting your time getting so worked up over which school your kid should attend in North Arlington and splitting hairs over them. It seems the insanity is worse than ever. I’m guessing it’s because the families are even wealthier now than before.

They’ve both been around forever. Both have incredibly long standing teachers and parent communities. You are crazy to pick your house based on being in one of the other. Decide based on the house. These elementary schools are just not that different. And no one on here can compare them because no one has kids in either. The reality is that by the time they get to MS and HS, no one is saying: oh little Johnny must’ve come from Tuckahoe because he’s so much better prepared.

Yea, this. It’s always been this.

Nottingham is fine, Tuckahoe is fine. Haven’t been impressed with gifted services but that’s more of the APS model generally. No experience with IEPs and am guessing it is definitely going to be a function of what your kid needs versus what is readily provided. Some folks have some serious delusions about the nature of one in one support that can be provided in an integrated classroom of 25+ kids that struggles to hire and retain aides.

Does anyone know exactly what her job there is? Serious question.

That's crazy talk.

You don't believe she's still in APS or you don't believe she's not doing her job well?

We're at NES but there's a solid chance we'd be moved to Tuckahoe if any of these boundary/school closure plans ever works out. And we'd be fine with that from a school perspective - they're essentially the same (though it would be upsetting for our kids because of friends, etc.).

Of course she’s not. Absolutely pathetic that APS moved her to central to do nothing.
