Heartland is an excellent family drama with real world situations,yet always leaves you feeling good.One of the best family drama's in decades.Is suitable for all ages.Filmed in Alberta,gorgeous filming and very real situations-though they do take place on a ranch with horses and cows,nice escape for urban dwellers.Lots of seasons-up to 19 at this point.One of the most popular streaming shows.Can watch on streaming services or easy to get the DVD's on loan from the library.Cannot recommend it highly enough.Try season 1-you will be totally hooked.

We bought "The Waltons on DVD and are watching them weekly with our 5th grader and 3rd grader. We visited Schuyler VA last summer to put it into geographic context. Also bought the 1970s version of "All Creatures Great & Small and use it also as family viewing.

I wish they didn't cancel the Cosby show to punish Bill Cosby.

The Cosby Show (and A Different World) were amazing, positive, entertaining shows that practically raised a generation of kids.

I was reading an article about one of the supporting actors who lost a big source of income when the show was canceled. All of the actors, not just Bill Cosby, lost their residuals. It was a steady stream of income for them, and it all disappeared when hollywood cancelled Bill Cosby.

I hope the show eventually returns to TV.

I'm a Gen-x'er who loved this show and I remember being so shocked to learn that the actresses that played Laura and Nellie Olsen were and are close friends in real life!

It's like the actor who played Draco on Harry Potter is the nicest guy. Or the same with the actor who played Joffrey on GoT.
