Careful, leaf blowers are like 90 percent of the Salvadoran economy

Thank you! The folks who are obsessed with their lawns is yes American yet unnecessary.

It also helps birds get through winter. They forage through leaves and find insects to eat. I leave my leaves alone.

What do you do in the spring when you need to mow again. If you have a lot of leaves, the mower can’t handle it. Or do you not mow either?

How much property do you have?

Not enough that I can’t maintain it with a rake and good old-fashioned work ethic.

If you feel the need to use a leaf blower you either bit off more than you could chew or should figure out a different landscaping plan.

So either I rake it all myself or pay landscapers to rake, but do not allow a leaf blower to be used either way, or else I'm lazy, wasteful, garbage human. What is your complaint - the noise?

Yes, the noise is the number one complaint, followed by the outlandish and utterly pointless waste of gas or electricity.

Pssst....we don't care.

Yeah, no sh!t. That’s why I said you’re a garbage human.

Hey, I'm the pp you called garbage human, not this poster. I asked if it was the noise that bothered you.

I'm a lazy, wasteful, garbage human being because my yardwork noise disturbs your peace. OK. I only blow the leaves 2-3 times in the fall. I mulch grass clippings. Now there are many neighbors who use their blowers all summer and fall. Are they more garbage-y or are we all equal garbage because of any blower usage.

Anonymous wrote:Why is this allowed? It’s non-stop and so loud and annoying. I can’t concentrate at all. The hum of the lawnmower doesn’t bother me. JFC does every last leaf need to be blown off the lawn?

What’s the acreage of your lawn?
We have 0.60 acres and started doing the leaf blowing ourselves this year. The battery powered blowers makes a big difference. We enjoy the freedom of choosing when to do it.

There needs to be daytime noise ordinance for leaf blowing. Ugh.

I wish municipalities would have mow/blow free days. My greatest dream is to have my whole neighborhood on the same schedule so it is just one day of cacophony and then peace.

I feel the same way about your car.

I’ve never used a leaf blower on or in my car.
