Yep, flights are soooooo expensive this year. $600+ to anywhere in the southwest or west coast. Half that to Florida, which is what I’d target if I were the OP.

That’s not “this year.” That’s every year, at least as long as we have been traveling for school spring break and our kids are teens.

No, they’re definitely more expensive than before. I also have a teen and we usually visit family on spring break. The price has tripled in the last six years.

Anonymous wrote:You can visit Agra and Delhi in India. I was there last year, and to my surprise, it was quite a good experience. Just don't believe the stereotypes you see about India. Also, I took part in Holi in March; that's another experience you and the boys might like. Well, in case you want to have guides, you can check out https://gowithguide.com/India/delhi/guides

We did Hilton Head for a couple spring breaks. South Carolina should be pretty warm in late April. It is about an 8 hour drive without traffic.

When is your spring break OP? March or April?

What about Athens, Greece? Tickets are cheap then since it is shoulder season.

If you didn't say warm, I would have suggested Rome, Prague or Iceland - tickets are cheap to these places too.

The beach locations will likely be too expensive with spring break pricing. We went to New Orleans when my kids were middle/elementary school age and had a great time. Flights and lodgings should be reasonable and there were a lot of decent Airbnbs to choose from. We did a graveyard tour and a history tour, went out on a swamp expedition and saw alligators, spent a day at the WW2 museum and another at the zoo. Didn’t make it to the Mardi Gras float museum, be would go there with more time. Lots of good meals. The weather was really pleasant, not at all cold but not yet steamy and humid.

Whatever you are smoking, it's not good.

You are out of your mind. Why would anyone go to India over max 10 days - you realize the jet lag not to mention $$ and time it takes to travel there? I did this with 4 wks in my 20s and still hated India.

WTAF would you suggest India??!!!?

This response made me laugh. TY PP

We’re doing skiing in Colorado. Lodging booked for under $2k, we have Ikon passes so no lift fees, and $2k for flights/luggage. Another $2k - $3k for rental car, food and shopping.
