You should definitely file a report against your principal. It is good paper trail to apply for COSA later.

Principal is bullying a kid? How?
OP’s kid probably misbehaved and got disciplined and OP has confused this with bullying
Anonymous wrote:Curious why so many people oppose asking the PTA Pres the name of the Director? My assumption is the PTA Pres would know the name so not a big deal to ask. Do you all have experience where the PTA Pres would not know the name? I also would assume the PTA would be a resource for advocating if needed to address an issue with the Principal. Is this not true at your schools? Not picking a fight, just curious.

Yes, but the Directors are in the business of protecting principals. I agree this is the next step, but be preprared OP for it not to work. You will need to keep pushing above that person.

I was able to find the supervisor’s contact info and will now decide on the best way to move forward. As adults, we have the option to leave a toxic work environment if our boss bullies us, but kids are forced to endure such situations early in life, which feels incredibly helpless. As many of you suggested, I will work on documenting everything, even though the principal’s misconduct is primarily verbal and difficult to prove. In the meantime, I’ll do my best to help reduce my child’s anxiety and support my kid through this. Thanks again!
The entire school is on camera 24/7 except bathrooms. Any interactions are being filmed and you can request the video within 7 days.
Even in the principal office?

You can. My advise is ask your PTA Pres who your current Director is (that is the title of the supervisor) and then look up that director in the MCPS staff directory online.
Or use this link and look under the different area superintendents to find who is responsible for your area (it is listed by high school your area is zoned for) and then look up in the staff directory.

Never ever ever involve an ES PTA President. Even you asking what could be an innocent qustion gets them to spread that news among their board and others. Yuck.
