Haven’t read a single reply so sorry if this has been said or if you’ve offered other details later. But why is this your business? It sounds like your sister can offer a package of being a nice or funny or smart person (fill in important attributes that she has), a rich person, and a not very conventionally attractive person. This is fine. She sound someone who likes the package she offers. Why is it your business to try to break them up to force her to find someone who puts MORE stock in being physically attracted to her body and face, when you already say that’s her weak spot? She found someone who maybe doesn’t value physical attractiveness much. That’s fine. What is there to fix.

To be honest, you sound invested in your sister staying single. What would happen if she got married, had children and outearned you?

If things head toward marriage you can mention a prenup as a way to protect her future children (people tend to be more willing to take steps to protect their children than themselves).

Hahaha, imagine a high earning guy asking his teacher fiancée to sign a prenup in order to protect his future children. See how ridiculous that sounds?

Say nothing! Let her enjoy thos relationship or not, depending on what happens.

I came from a rich family and my husband's brother accused him of marrying me for money. It didn't affect our relationship in the slightest (we've been married fir 30+ years) but we don't have a relationship with him. It's not the only awful thing he did and the comment was typical for him. Be glad for her and just be there if it goes south.

Do not interfere! Say nothing.

What is so wrong with a man working as a teacher?

She also divorced him already.

Because women generally don’t marry down unless they’re is something wrong with them. Women can be picky because they usually hold all the cards and because they can carry a baby. A woman who marries down is either settling because they can’t have anyone else or they’re highly independent.
How is a teacher marrying down?

Teachers don’t make a lot of money and they’ve become glorified public school babysitters. That’s not a secret.
Money isn’t the only class distinction. Level of college education can be the equalizing factor. She makes enough, she can look for other qualities - it can be freeing.

You are probably a bad person, OP. Mind your own business and try to think better of your own sister.

I told my husband while dating that I wanted to SAH when our kids were growing up. Thank goodness he was supportive and did not accuse me of gold digging and neither did his relatives. We’ve been married 20 years and they all tell me that the only reason he has a clean house and matching clothes and shows up to events on time is because of me!

There is a lid for every pot. If he is mean or uncaring that’s different. But, I am a teacher and know some great male teachers that I’m sure make wonderful (if not high earning) husbands and fathers.

And it sounds like she makes a lot and is highly independent so can afford to marry who she likes. Good for her.

That’s a lot of money to some people.
