Maybe my DS essay's were just better than your kid. Not everything is about test scores. My kid is a bad test taker. So what? Quit the whining.

+1 playing football is good for the country

Great. But why is it important that they take spots at college over other kids? Why not just play pro then or play for fun and get into a college based on academic merit?

I have no kids in this game, but that just pisses me off. I've never understood the obsession of US schools with athletics and was glad (as were many others) when our SLAC dropped football because it could no longer be justified financially after covid. This is why we are sending our kids abroad for education

Please read or watch the many posts I’ve made on the blog, instagram, and tiktok about why GPA stats are meaningless in selective admission. Similarly, I have many posts about testing. There is material the student hasn’t had in 1-3 years (the math section of the SAT goes through Algebra 2/Trig). There’s a story in each application and it isn’t told in numbers.

I've seen those comments before and I do believe it's not the whole picture. That's where there isn't a specific class or grade that is a deal breaker. Howerver, the ranges for 25-75% do help tell a story and it's nice to know. That data will eventually come out.
