Looks like the 25th percentile threshold might speak to the difference in med school acceptance rates later on. 65% vs 85%

Emory is 84% with a committee letter, WashU does the same. The 25th isnt any different practically but Emory is more diverse so maybe the 10th percentile dips lower than we can anticipate.

I never said that Saint Louis “was more cultured” than Atlanta,” whatever that means, because I don’t view everything as a competition as to what is “best.” Both Atlanta and Saint Louis are important centers of black culture, as are Baltimore, Memphis, Chicago and New York, as well as many other cities.

I’m not going to lecture you on Saint Louis because I don’t think you are truly interested in learning about it but I’ve attached a few links for those that are.

Son went engineering at WashU. He is now in med school. Loved washu and is doing well in med school.

Daughter is currently at WashU. She is a math major who refuses to go engineering or Olin business.

There are a lot of pre med students at WashU. But that is because it has amazing medical facilities and pre med faculty.

We have known 2 sets of kids at the school. ALL were happy, driven students who seemed collaborative and well-adjusted. Don’t know a thing about Emory. But I wanted to throw in my 2-cents about WashU, which we have loved for both kids and
