You make a God-damn fortune and are more concerned about saving an extra $5,000 and would rather jeopardize players safety and health.
You all need to "pony up"
Cool. Got it.
Glad my kid's team is not playing in the Injury waiting to happen Fall Brawl.
Would you have your kid play if there were more refs?
You're really mad about someone making money?
Why don't you take less salary or less commission in whatever you or your spouse's occupation is.
It's not $5000, it's more like $55,000 for 2 more officials per game for 12 divisions.
Pony up or go start your own tournament.
LOL, nice response Marty and clowns. I'm sure you won't be around to discuss this at the tourney, too busy selling over priced shirts at the merch booth. Have to count every dollar and can't even PONY up for the nicer jerseys and shirts, back to the old tired T shirts.
Keep digging your hole.

Lacrosse may not be the sport for you or your kid.Anonymous wrote:THIS Fall Brawl tourney is NOT SAFE. I watched my kids team play, and the ONE Referee did the draw, and literally stood at the center field line and didn't move. Out of position, and cannot possibly make the calls. Players get away with slashing and checkes to the head. What's the over/under on concussions for the Fall Brawl? Has anyone checked FanDuel or BetMGM prop bets?
Seriously-- Fall Brawl is setting themselves up for a lawsuit.
Gross negligence.

The "draw?" first of all there is only once face off to start the game so that makes zero sense. Almost never get concussions from checks to the head most come from hits or most a shot to the helmet when the player turns the head. Kids play at prospect days, showcases, practices, ect with zero refs and come out just fine. They go harder at many showcases then they do a fall brawl. This is just a ridiculous post. Small field and no take out checks so one ref is fine. They do not even enforce time served penalties.

Agree it seems against the spirit of Marty/Robin (who have been great to run this tournament every year) but not much they can do.
Marty Megabucks and Robin Robbery. Paying for one referee per game. Too cheap. Dont care about quality officiating or player safety.
Got to be da Money!
Feel free to pony up and get more referees.

It is mostly volunteer parents and coaches that register, manage, and coach. Don't blame the Rec Orgs. They are not involved at all. There are plenty of overzealous parents creating super teams to play but we need more parents that volunteer with a different mindset to make this event what everyone remembers.
