I asked because I’ve heard of a few people accepted to Michigan and not uva for engineering. Crazy. But sounds like your dc is doing great.

Applied to Engineering/CS for both UMich and UVa from FCPS. SAT 1580 (800 math) and GPA 4.3

DC - Class of 24. Va Resident. Applied ED to UVA. Was rejected. Accepted Michigan. Attending and loving it. Besides the cost, it all worked out for the best.

It’s an extra 7 kids for every 100 applicants. So, some of them are making it.
