If someone wants to, they should be able too. Most posters on this forum think people should be able to do all the weed they want. But knowingly selling or drinking unpasteurized milk should get you raided by a SWAT team?
This sh!t is why y’all lost.
Because you’re nuts.
Knowingly is the operative word. Apparently the buyers did not know the milk was unpasteurized and caused a lot of people to get sick. Surely you can understand that. Or do you not care about the quality and safety of the food you serve your children. Sad.
If I’m buying milk directly from a dairy farm, and there’s no label on it that says “pasteurized”, then a reasonable person should assume it’s probably raw milk and it *might* have pathogens in it. I’d call that “informed consent”. They CHOSE to buy it and give it to their kids. They weren’t being deceived.
I make the *choice* to eat sushi and raw oysters. I know there’s a small chance I could get sick. Maybe even die. Don’t care. I’m still eating sushi and raw oysters.
I made the choice. Otherwise I’d be eating cooked seafood instead. But cooked fish is for Puritans. Yuck.
