Trump wouldn’t sign it but even if he did, scotus would over rule it. Abortion is a state not inter-state/federal issue.
Can you explain to me, honestly, why you believe Trump and the GOP? What is it that inspires this blind loyalty in the face of what his advisors have literally said they intend to do, just because a man who lies like he breates told you it's not the plan?
There really only are 2 options. Either you all are woefully uninformed or unable to connect the dots on these issues OR you're despicable immoral people who know exactly what they voted for. You guys lose it when people correctly label support for these policies as racist, misogynist, and bigoted, but you also lose it when people assume you must be stupid. I just can't figure out. Are you stupid or evil?
lol with your good faith questioning! “Have you stopped beating your wife?”
It's a valid question. Let's make it easier: do you actually believe him or not?
SCOTUS didn't say abortion is a state issue. Why do you think that? Who told you that?
Anonymous wrote:Abortion is gone. They will ban mifepristone. Then Comstock gets enforced. Next is the morning after pill. But hey ladies, you voted him in.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:A national ban is never going to happen. The GOP will allow the bible-thumping states to pass super restrictive bans because they know the liberal states will protect abortion. And that's all they need because those in power have the resources to get their pregnant wives, daughters, female relatives, and most importantly, mistresses to those blue states for abortions.
A ban will never happen because male politicians love extramarital affairs and those affairs usually entail an abortion or two with some hush money. Tale as old as time.
Sexless Texas. Just get yourself a vibrator and your husbands and boyfriends blow up doll ladies if you're down there in Texas.
Well once they roll back marital rape laws, they might not have much say in whether they're having sex or not. Enjoy the consequences of your actions!
Did you know marital rape laws are a state issue - and even in Maryland it is only illegal by force. So a husband can drug his wife and have sex with her.
Yeah, America is a patriarchal country that doesn't value women. This isn't news to me. Men are dangerous and they made it crystal freaking clear on Tuesday.

Democrats probably should pass a federal law banning abortion after 15 weeks, explicitly pre-empting and state laws. That would make abortion legal later than most of Europe, preempt states like Utah from banning it at less than 15, and be extremely popular with voters, and Reps could spin it that they were actually prohibiting late-term abortions. No need for a court to legislate from the bench, and the public gets what most want.
Anonymous wrote:As a political matter a national abortion ban would be suicide. Are you people serious with this stuff?
Anonymous wrote:Since the USSC said it was a state matter, does the GOP have to get an amendment passed/ratified to institute a ban, or is it a simple lw with 51% majority?
Since the USSC said abortion was a state matter, can Feds try to supercede that?
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:SCOTUS said there's no constitutional right to an abortion. They did not say it's a state-level matter.
Yes and no here, dealing with not “rights” but “negative rights”, which most of the bill of rights is. Since they ruled that there is no constitutional right, the 10th amendment kicks in, therefore, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
10th Amendment was fitted and worked around over 79 years ago. It has extremely small scope now.

Don’t expect anything to happen during Trump’s time in office other than easily reversible executive orders.
The filibuster is toast, sorry to tell you. Rules and ethics were on the ballot and America said "No thanks."
You can say that all day long but I won’t hold my breath and neither should you. There’s a reason it never happens. Senators know that next time they’ll be the ones using it.
