OP, this is not a lesbian or trans issue. This is a parenting issue, despite your daughter being a grown adult. Life happens, not everything goes your way and your daughter is looking for some direction from you. Separate the hate from the politics. There are hateful people on both sides, regardless of who is President. It is NOT because of politics.
What should you say to your daughter? You are young. That is a HUGE asset that we old people don't have. Live your life! This too shall pass! Be the change that you want to see!
There are so many ways to give young people hope. I can only hope that you find some too!
The rhetoric at the top matters, as do policies. The hateful language incites others and normalizes version viewpoints and opinions. Just like demonizing immigrants and POC. It's disingenuous to say otherwise.

I've honestly never even heard of anyone who is trans, much less a normal lesbian being messed with in any way. This reminds me of looney conservatives thinking Obama was going to take their guns and bible.

Well this assurance that we we all alarmists didn’t age well for trans/non-binary folks, now did it?
Maybe it's time to acknowledge the LGBT+whatever alphabet needs to be retired. World of difference between gays and lesbians and the trans/non binary. Not that much in common when you get down to it. Aren't the progressives the ones who keep insisting sex and gender are two different things? If so, then acknowledge it and stop lumping everyone in the alphabet into one acronym.
Every trans person either started out as gay/lesbian or transitioned to be gay/lesbian. The majority are bisexual. I know a couple that were married last year. Two trans men married. I know many trans women date or are married to other trans women. Sexuality and gender identity are separate but being trans doesn’t exclude you from being LGB. You obviously have very limited experience with transgender people but feel like your opinions are so important that they must be heard on the LGBTQIA+ board.

Obviously, I support her 100%, but I can’t lie and say things are going to be fine for LGBTQI of any age. It’s not going to make her feel better to know that other segments of the population will suffer also. She grew up after Obergefell and had a vision of her life as a normal one - being able to be public about having a girlfriend, maybe getting married or having kids one day. Now that seems like it will disappear. This election she has already experienced harassment from men based on her sexuality. It seems like they are emboldened.
What are you saying to your kids? How are you supporting them. What are you able to offer them as hopeful in their future? How are people going to fight to protect them, especially if Trump ends up with all 3 branches? How do we protect them against that power?
I’m a gay man in my late 40s. I came out in the 1990s. I’ve been here before. Your daughter needs to make sure that she lives in an accepting and safe place. A liberal city, in a liberal state. Suburban Virginia isn’t going to cut it. We live in DC proper and are rich white men. We’ll see how things play out but our back up plan is moving to Boston.
Suburban VA lesbian says hi. I have no idea what you are talking about. My partner and I feel happy and safe here and I don’t see that changing. We aren’t blue haired loons though.

You are not paying attention or you are gaslighting. Stop blaming the side that didn't vote for him for the things he is actually saying and doing. And it isn't just him. He has emboldened a lot of crazy people to act on their hate for the LGBTQI+. And when those people act, you will say it wasn't his fault.
