Are we sure they are truly a troll? If someone is basic enough to buy into the Rays they certainly could be convinced a meet like IMX is life changing. It would take a suggestible and imaginative person for both.

They are definitely trolling, whether it’s 1 person or 2. When they first started, people explained the difference between Rays/RMSC and how IMX scores matter not at all, etc. and then it became obvious that they are just a troll.

Even so, somebody in this group may have a child who will swim and/or final at that meet and it will be so exciting to that child. People need to learn to keep their unwarranted elitism and ugliness to themselves.


I am the one that identified the troll. I agree with your post and will add that there are parents (like me) that will be excited for the child making finals in any meet.

Absolutely, that’s why it’s helpful to look at the times for finalists if trying to determine the “faster” meet.
Regardless, there were a few posts that were confusing JOs and Winter Juniors as the same meet. Those are not the same thing. The qualifying times are significantly faster for the latter and presumably the times to final.

RMSC also goes to Riley Eaton Holiday Invitational, which has cut times similar to the other meets listed (NCI, SportFair).


Sport Fair doesn't have cut times. It is just a fun small champs meet where the teams are limited to 80 participants (except the host team which gets 120 entries).

RMSC also goes to Riley Eaton Holiday Invitational, which has cut times similar to the other meets listed (NCI, SportFair).


And RMSC attends Turkey Claus too.
