How often do your scouts meet?
That's the model for Boy Scouts , now called Scouting.
There's a lot to learn and accomplish. Twice a month doesn't cut it.
it is NOT called "Scouting". Just because your organization changes its name every year and happened to spend millions purchasing scouting.org doesn't mean that you can take over the term scouting. Girl Scouts are also Scouts.
1. The organization you are discussing here is actually indeed now called "Scouting America," with the rebrand already ongoing and the last stage of it happening in February 2025. It includes Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturers, Explorers, Sea Scouts, and STEM Scouts. All types and levels can and do involve girls/women.
2. Girl Scouts is a different and separate organization.
I’m in both organizations and I’m referring to the first one as the Organization Formerly Known As. Everyone in our troop is still calling it Boy Scouts.

I'm starting a new Girl Scouts troop soon and plan to start off once a month until we get our footing. I do not have any GS previous experience, my daughter will be a Daisy.

Scouts BSA is part of the WOSM. World Organization of the Scout Movement.
Girl Scouts of the USA is part of WAGGS. World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
Scouts BSA now allows girls as well as boys.
Girl Scouts of the USA is still girls only.
Scouts BSA Cub Scout packs typically will meet one a month, with grade level dens (bear, wolf etc.) typically meeting weekly. Scouts BSA troops (grade 6+) typically meet weekly.
Girl Scouts of the USA grade level (or multi grade level. Daisy, Brownie, Junior, etc) troop meetings are very leader driven - in this area they tend to meet every other week, but it really depends on what the leaders feel they can handle.
