Face it! Christmas as a season turned secular in the 60s ( anyone remember the Charlie Brown Chistmas special?)

Jingle Bells
Winter Wonderland
All I Want for Christmas is You
Jingle Bell Rock
Last Christmas
Run, Run Rudolph
Etc.
Omg not this nonsense again. Christmas is not a secular holiday. It is a religious holiday. Sure, people celebrate it in a secular fashion and never once think of Jesus. The way I celebrate Hannukah by spinning a dreidal and listening to Adam Sandler. This doesn’t make hannukah a secular holiday it just makes me someone who is appropriating the fun parts of someone else’s religion. Which is fine.
Fun fact : many of your so called Christian Christmas traditions came from Pagan religions not Christianity. Wreaths, gift giving, Christmas lights, decorating trees and Yule logs belonged to pagan religions and were appropriated by Christianity .
Yes, we've all known that since we were kids because none of these things are mentioned in the Bible. But thanks for the annual reminder.

Yes we know. They are still related to a Christmas though.
This come up every year, the non religious people want a reason to do “ Christmas “ so find any way they can to explain themselves by calling it secular and jumping all over our traditions..
Want a reason to do christmas? what do you mean?
"jumping all over your traditions" might be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. We aren't religious and we love christmas. And the traditions have literally nothing to do with Jesus. Gingerbread house making. Baking cookies. Putting up a tree.
Literally, nothing to do with a fake birthday

It can be religious. It can be not religious but secular and cultural. Both are true.
Jesus was not born on 12/25 in December. It was Christians that "appropriated" pagan celebrations. This is history. Fact. You may wanna read up on it before you go around lecturing other people.
Actually we have no idea when Jesus was born. There's a 1/365 chance it was on December 25. But the idea that the date was chosen to coincide with solstice celebrations is off-base because those celebrations took place a few weeks earlier.
