All you people saying Elon, Vandy, even Emory, it gets fuggin cold in those places! Not New England cold, but those campuses all get snow, and you could need a winter coat at any point between late October and early April. That's like 80% of the school year. A kid who truly hates the cold and wants a mid sized school should be looking at UMiami, SMU, TCU, Rice if they have the stats, and College of Charleston if they need a safety.

OP here - sorry - yes, meant NC! And I realize that maybe I should have said bigger than tiny liberal arts as I think technically “medium” means more than 5,000 and she would consider smaller than that. By sporty I meant she wouldn’t be a recruited athlete but wants to play club and intramural sports. Major is undecided.
