Both are beautiful if you go to the right beach. Maldives is made up of many different islands. Male the capital isn't so pretty. The further away you get from the capital and the big resorts, the prettier it gets.

Thanks- I have been to Maldives but not Perhentian and wondered.

Always Old San Juan, and I’ve enjoyed Vieques, Rincon, Ponce, Cabo Rojo, Luquillo… Culebra is on my to-do list!
