Recently, McLean’s proximity to the burgeoning business hubs of Tysons, which is an offshoot of McLean, and the Dulles Technology Corridor has further burnished its appeal. As such, with a median home listing price of $2.95 million in September 2024, McLean’s 22101 ZIP Code has the D.C. area’s priciest residential real estate, according to Realtor.com. (News Corp, owner of The Wall Street Journal, also operates Realtor.com.) “People say real estate is all about location, location, location,” says real-estate agent Robert Hryniewicki of Washington Fine Properties. “That really rings true for ZIP Code 22101.”

There is another, much older band neighborhood band called Pimmit Hills that is heavy-metal bluesish—a nod to the neighborhood's 1970s biker era. The show "My Name is Earl" was created by a someone who lived here as a child; the trailer park in the show is called Pimmit Hills.

All of this is FINE, because people are paying 2M for new houses here and teardowns are selling for $700,000+

The rest of Tyson’s, Pimmit Hills, and Potomac Yards will be redeveloped first.

The families that bought in Chevy Chase and N Arlington back in the early to mid 60s are really seeing an excellent return on their investment. Give it time, 50 years just enough time to cash out for a nice retirement.
