DH did see a few bugs when he picked it up and he also thought they looked like ants and blamed it on the rain.

Sounding like a SciFi story IRL. Perhaps they are nano-bots combined to form larger bots in the shape of insects...... Probably sent by Microsoft to revamp your software.
