In our home, heavy cream is usually used for the following foods:

Whipped cream
Tomato bisque
Cream of asparagus soup
Pasta with Rosa sauce-mix the cream with any tomato sauce and toss
Clam chowder
Scrambled eggs/breakfast casserole/quiche

This. Or homemade butterscotch pudding. Yum.

Or if you have an ice cream maker, make homemade ice cream. One time my kids and I made homemade butter beer ice cream and it was phenomenal.

Actually, the ATK recipe calls for tagliatelle, but can be done with other shaped pastas.
