But when I consume entertainment, I want everyone to be pretty (except the "bad guys" who should be ugly and menacing). I'm so tired of casting directors trying to make people "relatable" so they cast ugly or mediocre people.
That guy in The Bear? He's ugly! Timothee Chalomet? Ugly! (A decent actor, but still ugly.) Everyone in The Perfect Couple? Just not quite good looking enough. Liev Schreiber? Ugly!
This includes commercials - I don't want to see people who are size 12 with mediocre looking children. Even in commercials I want everyone to be good looking. I'm sick of people looking relatable - I want escape to a fantasy world when I watch a show. I want thin and toned and enviable skin and hair and minimal body fat. I don't want to see a mole on your face - it doesn't give you character, it distracts me from the story, Rachel McAdams.
I was talking with a friend about this and she asked if I want everyone to be good looking on reality shows too. And I think ... yes. Nobody less than a 7. You can be the ugliest of your pretty friends, but not actually ugly. I don't want to watch Love is Blind or whatever, where a bunch of ugly people have to pretend they're not upset at how fat or ugly the person they matched with actually is.

It just seemed… so boring to me. I want more stories from new people and cultures. That has the benefit of different and new faces.
TV is better than film; shows for younger audiences are better than ones for older ones. The younger generations will be the first in the US to be a minority majority, so it is represented in their media.
So my answer is, I’m bored of most big name celebrities!

I will watch anything with Benjamin Cumberbatch.
Will not watch anything with the anti-semtic Mel Gibson, not from his past, present or future

It’s like she’s working frantically. Why?
She has been producing a lot of the shows she's appearing in (and it's mostly limited series on streaming platforms). I think she knows she has a bit of an opportunity now to pull an audience due to the popularity of Big Little Lies and she's making hay. By producing these projects she also make backend from the streaming services so that increases her payout. I think it's going to become a lot harder for her to work at all in the next few years just due to her age and the types of roles she plays (she's truthfully already stretching it a lot by playing these mom characters but at least in The Perfect Couple she is believably a mom to adults). I can see her making the occasional movie or getting a character role in the odd prestige TV show but I think this is it for her in terms of headlining projects and being able to get stuff greenlit with just her name attached.
Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston are in a similar mode though they both have more non-acting lines of revenue (endorsements and product lines and such) than Nicole does. But it's all just aging actresses realizing they may be hitting the ceiling on their acting years. If they make enough they could just invest and coast OR if they want they can set themselves up to continue to produce. But they need cash and industry connects and that means work work work.
I don't like everything Kidman does these days but I respect her for working her butt off and seizing every opportunity. It's better than climbing on an ice floe and waiving goodbye.
Nicole Kidman has a net worth of $25 Million. I mean, how much does she need?
I don't think it's about money. I think she needs to get as much work as possible before age catches up with her. And it will.
It already has. She is creepy plastic surgery territory. That is why I don't want to watch her anymore. I can't deal with actors who have altered their faces into that alien look. It's so distracting and off-putting. It pains me that this is becoming "normal" to many people (and that many people seem to find this attractive...ugh!) and will probably ruin many things for me.
