I’m 50 and 5’10. Never felt short growing up in 80s never had a problem dating in 90s, 00s and I feel this phenomenon of height obsession is pretty recent
I’ve dated short average and even a bit taller than me. But nowadays women old and young seem to be obsessed. Maybe it’s social media pushing onto to them what high value attractive man is supposed to be
I’ve also spent a lot of time in EU and many countries the average height is much more than USA but I never had difficulty dating there being “below average” by some EU standards and my dates there were close to my height or more
So it’s dumb American women being brainwashed by dumb American social media
Nothing else.
But agree if a guy is 5-10 and woman is 6-1 the sex would be awkward in traditional positions 😂

I wiish I was 5'7 and bigger though. I am not going to feel you guys my weight lol but I wish I wasn't skinny.
And as a skinny man don"t even get me started. I can start my own thread. And women have been the most hard toward me. They often tell me do you eat, you are so skinny, I can break you (wish they knew about my third leg lol), eat more. Because I am so skinny for them I guess they don't even see my height lol.
Men on the other hand notice my height before noticing my weight. And most men don't even mention my weight but they do notice the height. And this makes me think men are more conscious of height because that's likely something they have been judged on positively or negatively. Women notice my weight first surprise surprise lol

Women aren't going to come here and tell you that they will smile at a taller man and give a mean face to a short dude. They just won't. Women will not admit and confess their shallowness like we men do. Most of us men have no issues saying there is no way in hell we will date or marry a fat woman for example. But a woman will dance around the issue lol

I know plenty of short men who are happily coupled.

And now the height thing is getting to my son's head too. He just turned 13 and he is 6'0. I am 6'3
I think it's an American thing. I don't know if this height obsession is as prominent in other countries.
I don't get it? Your son is already tall so? Your wife might end up fat like her relatives
The point I am making is that she should worry more about him being fat than short. And because he is taller than most of his peers somehow he thinks it makes him special. My point is obsessively want tall men in the country. I just think it's bizarre.
No, a fat tall man is more acceptable than a short, thin man. I don't know why, but it's so.

'Demand?'
Short women want tall men so their kids (sons) aren’t tiny. A tall partner raises they chance they will be normal height.

Anonymous wrote:I was watching a show on YouTube and this guy was going around asking short men about their insecurities around their height. 99% of them wished they were taller at least 6 feet, they expressed that women don't pay attention to them and a few of the guys said that they think their height holds them back. It's kind of sad because these are young men and their confidence is ready shattered due to their height. I am 5'11 and even at my height I don't come across a lot of men taller than me yet we are acting like tall men are all over the place.
I don't think fat women have the level of lack of self esteem that short men have. Just by judging the way fat women dress it's clear that they are confident in their look. And they may not be wrong because clearly men are approaching them.
Personally I think the issue is that young men have to have a certain way, look a certain way to be attractive to women. I think all men should just focus on themselves. Superficial criteria such a height are just an ego boost for women when they reject men.

Most men don't get approach by women regardless of their level of attractiveness. I have only been approached by women twice in my life and I wish they never approached me. Both times were at bar and both times that interjected them they were offended. Alcohol has a weird effect on women. Most men no matter how drunk know not to touch a woman. But am intoxicated woman somehow feels the right to touch you to caress your biceps and/or approach you with minimal effort just because I guess they are women and you should be lucky they are approaching you.
