I don't understand how someone spends $1000 on clothes for a year. Don't you ever want a refresh or need something for an event, or just enjoy having something new to wear? I can see if you're living bare bones - or you've reached a stage of life where you have everything you could possibly want to put on for any occasion. But otherwise? Clothes and shoes are *expensive*!

It’s fine with me but it’s pretty funny to me that you are claiming $5k a year does not make you a big spender.

Is that a couple shopping trips? A couple years? 5-10 years? More?
Just curious.
Assuming I'm starting from nothing?
I'd use it to buy a timeless coat, bag and shoes. Should last 5+ years with proper maintenance
I would hope a “timeless” coat costing $5k+ lasts more than 5 years
I would allocate the 10k like this
- coat - 5k
- bag - 3.5k
- shoes 1 - 750
- shoes 2 - 750
2 pairs of shoes because you can't wear the same pair of shoes every day
That is insane- I am in my early 50s and I make 7figures and I would never spend $5k on a coat or over 1K on a bag. Ridiculous
Well this is obvious. Whereas you are actually pulling 7 figs(in theory), she's clearly not but wants everyone(the uninitiated poors, anyway) to THINK she is.
It's cosplay.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Anonymous wrote:10k would not go far for me. My Max Mara Manuela coat is probably the cheapes thing I own, at almost $4k. My favourite pumps are about $800 a pair, wool blazers are about $4k each, trousers about $1.5k each, most of my dresses start at about $3.5k. Everything is 100% natural fibers and of course tailored to my frame.
We haven't really even gotten into accessories like jewlery, watches, handbags, scarves, sunglasses either.
