The actor is an Australian and is quite sweet in interviews.

It's hard to believe this is the same person!

He’s adorable in that interview. Another great acting job because his Roddy Ho character is so unlikeable.

Can you summarize it? I can’t remember what he said and don’t want to go back and rewatch, if possible.

This is such a great show. I just wish the seasons were longer!

Ha - I love Roddy Ho. He is the funniest character on the show. My other favorite is Coe. What a face!

Only the British shows do, really. I agree.

It was my least favorite season aside from a couple great moments (the ladder bit, far right guy and Claude confrontation, cool subway "reveal" with the music). It just felt so quick in terms of story unfolding and less fun than previous ones. I agree more River would have been good. Also weird how they keep acting like he's ugly and asocial when he was not seen that way that much in previous seasons?

I like this show a lot. I didn’t read the books.

River’s character had a lesser role this season- is that what happens in the books, too?

I feel bad that he keeps getting bad questions from interviewers. One said "you must be glad not to have to sit in hair and makeup for this show." And he looked a little taken aback said it took a long time for hair and make-up to make him into Jackson Lamb. Then another said asked him about wearing a fat suit in the first season, and again he looked embarrassed and said " umm, that was all me."

No he's game for those interviews, or they'd be edited out. He understands the need to promote this show to keep it alive. The book series has dwindled off from an excellent run of exciting stories to a convoluted mess where the characters fail to bring any new laughs.
