I believe in gun control, mandatory training, background checks, locking weapons. I do think it's OK to have a gun for hunting, sport or security if you pass all those hoops.
You understand that the NRA is a private organization right? It has nothing to do with general gun ownership, has been a barrier to common sense gun safety laws, and is in fact evil. That doesn't mean everyone who owns a gun is also evil. Will Republicans please try to get your heads out of your asses?
+1 somehow republicans have conflated basic gun safety measures with the culture woad and our kids are paying the price with daily school shootings.

I don't think any president should say that because it's what I associate with a redneck gun nut (like my Trump thumper brother) and then it allows for justifications from ordinary people who do that very thing. But, yes, she seems to be trying to find the line between being tough and not too tough, which is so hard for a woman. On this she crossed the line.
Yes, Oprah's face was priceless. Personally, I wish she'd tone it down about the gun since I want major reform.
Agree. Let’s stop acting like gun ownership is a virtue.

No, she is letting center-right people know she isn't coming for their guns. She is expressing the mainstream democratic platform on guns and sensible gun laws.
She promised she was going after guns.
She better keep her word on that.
She did not. Renewing the expired assault rifle ban is not “banning guns”. Not long ago, republicans supported it too.
She promised she’d be banning guns by executive order within her first 100 days IF congress fails to act.
I’m not sure which guns she meant, because the way you’re describing sounds like hair-splitting language to me. Unless you ban them all there’s no point in banning any of them. But she better keep her word on this.

After the election, she'll revert to her true progressive roots, deceiving everyone. The media continues to cover for her, refusing to show her full history or hold her accountable. Voters will think they’re getting a diamond but will end up with a piece of coal. Unfortunately, only right-wing outlets are calling her out, while left-wing networks like MSNBC and CNN are hiding the truth to mislead the public.
