Tolerance of what and whom? In my opinion, teaching tolerance here = standing up for the kids on the bus that are not Christian.
Except that the kids aren't driving the bus. The driver makes the decision on the music.
So only those driving the bus deserve tolerance and respect? You’ll have to explain that logic…
How is asking the driver to refrain from religious propaganda while "on duty" in a public school system stripping them of tolerance or respect? They are welcome to listen to their religious propaganda in their own home, vehicle, or likely even when there are no children on the vehicle. While they are representing a public, secular school? Not appropriate.
Religious folk do love to play the victim, even when they are clearly in the wrong though, so no surprise to see some replies from pps.
Seriously though, do you think there would be an objection if he were playing Cardi B WAP?
It’s a radio station with music that happens to be Christian. If the music were Hindu prayers, do you think anyone would care?

Get a grip. That crappy music isn’t going to convert anyone. Tell your kid to put on headphones if you don’t like it. Then
give that bus driver a big old THANK YOU. We need bus drivers!
It is not about converting anyone. It’s about the fact that non-Christian students on the bus should not be marginalized. Sure I could tell my own kid to ignore, but that doesn’t solve the problem for the other kids who deserve a safe space.
Anonymous wrote:My kid has told my that their bus driver plays extremely loud Christian music on their bus every day on a Christian radio station that also talks about God/Jesus/the Bible. This is a concern for us as we are not Christian. Considering FCPS is a public school district, is there anything we can do?

Seriously - b’s and ho’s and the n-word would be just fine. Mention Jesus or the Bible and call the ACLU.
