That might be true if you've given your nanny appropriate accommodations. But really this is very subjective. I've lived in 2 houses of that size and they did feel pretty big. I like 6000SF.

I don’t want to live such an isolated existence. Also, they are saying it’s 2+ acres but barely .20 is usable, if someone wants to enjoy nature then they want a flat yard or at least a yard that is nicely landscaped.

This house has terrible front and backyard and then it’s quite far from any amenities, so what’s the point? I would rather buy a nice townhouse in McLean.

I like the second house better. It has a more tasteful and timeless design.

The main reason to go to great falls is because you want 1+ acres and can't afford it in 22101.

It's not great for kids. Roads are dangerous and drivers are super aggressive in GF. It's isolating and if you look at some of the ugly oversized houses there, you'll find the ugly people who live in them repellant.

It's still a hot market for people that typically send their kids to private school. The people buying 1-2M homes that usually send their kids to public school, not so much.

Speaking for myself l prefer a smaller house that’s cozier and easier to maintain (this is close to 6000sf), closer to my work in DC, walkability and close to transit. Also this yard would be a dealbreaker for me - both too big (high maintenance) and sloped (not unusable).

It’s a suspicious flip. In 2023 it sold pretty quickly with its 90’s finishes. They took out a bunch of walls and replaced everything with cheap looking “updates” and probably didn’t do the boring stuff that needed to be done.

The house is sitting on the side of a very steep hill. I like yard and space but I need flat space.

Plus, the pictures may be deceiving. With all the AI generated photos these days, it's hard to tell what the house actually looks like.
