It helps kids from schools that deflate grades but have high SATs.

I wish there was a GPA optional admissions practice.

ED would really help as many SLACs go heavy here. Bates especially. Vassar not out of reach. conn college or trinity are very doable as is smith or mt Holyoke if she is interested in women’s schools.

She should look at test flexible schools

Definitely TO, consider ED to Grinnell or Vassar!

DC received 5s on Calc BC, Physics C: mechanics, and many other humanities exams but could not crack a 1400 till his 3rd try. Something about the format of the SAT was throwing him off.

Yep - go TO on the SAT and submit the AP scores. Decide where she really wants and choose ED1 and ED2 schools. If full pay or close, odds will be better at many, but not all, of the slacs. She is a strong applicant - have many targets and demonstrate interest like crazy. But play your ED cards well. I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see a Vassar admit with ED.

OP my kid has the same stats, almost exactly. I would apply TO wherever you can also still aim high. Some of the suggestions on this thread are way below your kid's abilities and would be safeties only.
