He’s overcooking them. Properly cooked eggs shouldn’t be that smelly. Make sure you have very fresh eggs and that he knows how to cook them properly. Adding some cream can help.

You really don't know that you can open the window in the room you're in and air it out? The weather is beautiful right now. Fresh air is good for you.

I LOVE eggs. Poached, boiled (hard or soft) over easy, scrambled, you name it.

But they can put off a strong smell, ESPECIALLY when overcooked. So he needs to be cooking low and slow and turn off the burner when still a little runny. Works best in cast iron, and throw in some set aside raw scramble to cool it down right at the end and cook with residual heat.

+1 to all of this, op is unreasonable to me because I love eggs but also, I have high cholesterol. If you have to work there, it's OK to be strict with requests about smell. Egg smell lingers for a long time.

Eggs and fish are the only cooking smells I really can't stand. I don't drink coffee but I enjoy the smell of it. I promise this isn't some broad theme. Just eggs and fish. Two things.

Cook something you like to cover the smell, or spray a fragrance

Work outside or in a bedroom for an hour, or go work in an office.

He does run it and he tries to quickly clean the stove, pan and his plate. But each time I can still smell the eggs. I am very sensitive to the cooked egg smell.

This is a you issue. Can’t you set up your workspace elsewhere till the smell stops bothering you?

You are being unreasonable. Eggs are a totally normal thing to have for breakfast and don’t smell. Work in your bedroom while he cooks the eggs? Make sure he puts the dishes in the dishwasher and washes the skillet. Open the window for a few minutes. Start on anti-depressants because you clearly have issues if you want to forbid your husband from making scrambled eggs.

Has he ever tried microwaving eggs? They come out pretty good and that reduces the smell.
