What are the top 4 teams?
GFR, Arlington, Loudoun, McLean
I'm not sure I would include GFR in there but certainly Arlington, Loudoun and McLean as the top three.

Maybe SYC to round out the top 4....but I definitely agree with the above mentioned as top 3.
Someone mentioned top 4 pre ECNL. SYC would be pre GA. No longer part of ECNL.
Why does the topic always shift to which teams win the most and then inevitably is ECNL or GA better for winning?
Oh no! The blog police are here.

OP here. It doesn’t have to be pre-ECNL. That’s just what my daughter is on now. We’re open to pre-GA as well or any suggestions people might have for a solid player at her age. We’re just not happy with the direction of our team and coach. And it’s not about the wins. It’s the fact that good kids and parents are treated very differently than the coaches “favs” and the opportunity for growth and development is not equal where we are and it has very little to do with talent.
Sorry to hear that, we're on the outside and looking in also. Look for a team with a new Coach. Almost any coach who has stuck around for more than 2 years with the same club will undoubtedly start to play their Favorites more.
Unfortunately many of these coaches (not all) have egos that are easily stroked by the right person and if you don't play the game and suck up to them, then you and your DC will be on the outside looking in. My advice would be to do as much outside training classes as your kid is able and willing to do. These places should give you an honest assessment for your DC's talent and may even be able to hook you up with a connection to a good team that is a good fit. Sorry that you and your daughter are going through this so early in the season. Don't let it ruin her love of the game.
