Not particularly difficult to get into.
You likely to encounter so-so peer in these schools.
Only on DCUM are schools that reject 80 percent plus of applicants called easy to get into.
Average SAT for those admitted to Wake Class of 2026 was 1480. I expect Davidson similar but too lazy to look.

Indian mom: OMG, 2% Asian? omg, omg.
Huh?
I think PP was saying there are only 2% Asian in the student body, whatever that means.
I don't think it's due to the "whiteness" or "rich white" as pointed out multiple times.
I think it's due to the location of two schools.

Wake is mid-sized - it was 3600 undergrad when I was there, but is I think 5800 now?
I didn't think of diversity when I applied in the 90s, but it also was more affordable then. Gave more scholarships than I hear they do now, although lots were for NC students.
I had an amazing 4 years on a lovely campus. It was a great fit - not too big, not too small and just such a lovely place. We also had a great basketball team that won back to back ACC championships while I was there. Tim Duncan was the star at the time. Just a fun time to be at the school.
I stepped on that campus and felt at home. That's the only way to describe it.
I have friends who came from all over the country. Lots of Jersey girls, thoughBut I had some good friends from New England and one of my besties was from CO.
It is a lovely school for the right student. It is probably more rich kid and even more conservative now than then, but I haven't been back in a while.

There is an enormous contingent at Wake from NY/NJ/CT, and I think expect Davidson is similar. Learn that your preferences aren’t universal.
