On Monjaro and my hot flashes have decreased, almost overnight and thus I sleep so much better. And my sugar craving has vanished.

I really hate ignorant people like this. Why say this? I have type 1.5 diabetes and have no choice, I need to take it long term…. So thanks??

Why not get compounded tirzepatide? Much cheaper!

Check out Merris Taylor on Instagram for advice. She is a registered dietician that had great success on a glp -1, she is on mounjaro as well but is weaning off it. I emailed her with some questions when I was starting out and she emails back with helpful advice.

I hadn't thought about the reduced inflammation being ozempic, I assumed it was just weight loss, but now it makes more sense. I really thought I needed a hip replacement due to joint pain and inflammation. Now that is pretty much gone, which has also allowed me to do much more exercise.

I haven't found I am sleeping that much better although I do think the weight loss has reduced snoring/sleep apnea.

NP here - I am on week 2 and last week i felt almost no hunger, but this week I feel like I am starving again - has anyone else had that happen?

I will say I have a lot more energy and patience (I am a teacher!) so that has been a huge plus

Me too. It is amazing. And now I have more energy to exercise.

Did this happen before you lost a lot of weight?

I really wonder what causes the connection between better sleep and Ozempic that happens before weight loss.

Yes it happened within the first week or two of starting the meds.

I should expand on my answer here. The sleep change corresponded with the lessening of food noise. The med quieted my brain in more ways than one. I was not obsessing about food or lying in bed obsessing about my to do list or anything else.

That’s why there are all these stories of arthritis, skin diseases, etc being cured or at least significantly helped by Ozempic — they are all symptoms of the same underlying metabolic disorder.

This would actually make so much sense! Because Ozempic has cured so many issues I had been battling with.

Yes. I think what Ozempic is demonstrating is that there is a currently un-classified metabolic disorder that doesn’t quite reach the level of full-blown diabetes but is nonetheless very real.

Apparently “making stuff up and threatening people with scare tactics with absolutely no basis in fact” is not one of them.

Tell us about the long term effects of insulin, if you have time, Einstein. Oh, and sorry about RFK Jr.

I think you are likely right. It certainly seems so.
