Subscribe to their emails. You will get one immediately and know exactly what everyone means.
Or u could just post one.
But I suspect they aren’t over the top so you don’t want to.

And if you missed it. Please watch this video of Vice President Harris in our Pittsburgh store yesterday. She is awesome!

So yesterday, while taking a break from prepping for Tuesday night’s debate, Kamala Harris visited our Pittsburgh Strip district store. Because of all she is and just who our customers are, the video of her visit has been continuously playing on tv news and received millions and millions of online views ever since. Watch the video and you will see why.
There are good reasons views have spread like wildfire. She’s a cook. She cares. And in our store built to celebrate the kindness at the heart of cooking, surrounded by kindred caring cooks, the goodness of the moment went off the charts. Whoosh!
No coupon or codes are needed for the ending-tonight $35.95 4-jar Grill and Broil gift boxes for $17.95, $17.95 Mini Grill boxes for just $10, $4.95 Salsa & Pico Seasoning for $1, and $7.95 Brady Street Seasoning for just $2.
To get your also-ending-at-midnight free $3.69 Penzeys Minced Garlic with $5 purchase online at penzeys.com, once you have $5 in spending enter GARLIC in the apply code box at checkout. No need to place the Garlic in your basket, the GARLIC code will do that for you and for free. It’s easy.
Of course whatever good Democrats create the right wing media has to try to knock down. We’ve been at this for some time, but never has the media of the right tried as hard to boycott us or “Bud Light” us as they are trying right now. Lots of angry emails coming my way. Nothing new, just a little more intense than it’s been in a while.
The waves are coming from all across the right wing media board, but I especially appreciated the effort on today’s Fox & Friends. One host called us “The meanest spice shop in America."
Another host said: "And they not only believe that privately, to your point, Will, they say it publicly." And went on to read from our website: "Going forward, we would still be glad to have you as customers, but we're done pretending the Republican Party's embrace of cruelty, racism, COVID lies, climate change denial, and threats to democracy are anything other than the risks they legitimately are."
There you go. Friday starts like a normal day. Saturday the future President of the United States hugged our customers in our Pittsburgh store. Sunday the words I so wanted every Fox viewer to hear being read on Fox, by Fox straight to all their viewers. What a weekend.
I’m right there with Vice President Harris on it being time to bring America together. Oddly enough, this weekend has me right there with Vice President Dick Cheney as well. But getting the Cheneys on board started with them being honest about today’s Republican party having taken a wrong turn.
As a cook, as someone who gives of yourself to care for others, you’ve earned the respect of those around you. You are seen as wise because you are wise. If anyone can reach Republicans and bring them back onto the path of goodness it is you. You being disappointed with who they are now supporting means far more than you imagine. Keep trying. You can get through.
And the right wing has amped up their anger at us and their attempts to boycott/Bud Light us as punishment for us welcoming Kamala into our store. They are also doing this in hopes of deterring any other store from doing the same. Not letting them win at this would be a good thing. Thanks.
Thanks to everyone supporting us through the decades that brought us to this weekend. What a ride.
Thank you so very-very much,
Bill
Bit long, but I don't think anything is especially nutty, especially when you look at discourse from the right.
Why is the left always held to a higher standard?
Just my.02- and I am voting Harris and I buy Penzy's...
IMO they are over the top and not appropriate for a sales marketing email. That ^ is an example of a political rant, when I just want to know when the oregano goes on sale.
You’ve lost perspective. A news media outlet is calling them. “the meanest spice store in town.” It’s extremely appropriate to respond to that.

If you're curious but don't want to subscribe, go to their website and click on the About Republicans page:

This will give you a pretty good idea of the tone of their emails. There's usually a political musing followed by a sales pitch for spices.
FWIW I usually agree with him, but find it really strange to have such outspoken political rantings embedded in product advertising.
That post seems very normal. It’s not over the top. They describe how they believe in conservative values but Trump doesn’t stand for any conservative values.. no sh!t Chet!
So you just feel bad about the messaging not that they are over the top.
As suspected.
This is the problem in the current environment.
People feel the need to police and make their own decision on what someone else is allowed to find offensive. You can be both totally against Trump AND not a fan of the Penzey’s emails.
I'm the one who posted the website link. As I said, I agree with the message. I'm as pro-Harris and anti-Trump as it gets. I take no issue with what he has to say.
But as someone who doesn't spend every minute of my day thinking about politics, and loves cooking and spices, I was thrown off a few times just by how out of place it seemed. Like I'd get an email from my favorite spice company, click on it looking for their latest new blend, and instead it's a discussion of politics. Just a bit jarring when I was looking for information on curry powders or dried herb mixes, you know? So I stopped reading them. I get my political news elsewhere, I don't need product advertising to have it in my face also.

+1 They are so over the top. I understand his belief system but…you are a spice company. The emails sound psychotic. Like the crazy uncle at thanksgiving. FYI-I’m liberal but the emails are absolutely nuts.
