This forum is dominated by the white liberal moms of DC, Bethesda and Arlington who send their kids to the so-called big 3 or big 5 private schools, in DC or Bethesda.
Dematha is in PG and you know what they think of PG County.
no. What?
+1 The "Big Whatever" crowd is not talking about Catholic Schools at all. People choosing Catholic schools are largely choosing the ones closest to them and where their kids' friends are going too (St. Anselm's excepted, as it is niche).

Dematha doesn't need anyone to make it happen. Dematha has been happening for a long, long time.
-Not a Dematha parent, booster or anything whatsoever.
Really you have no stake in Dematha?? Just want to shout from the rooftops how great they are??? Sure.....

There's a huge vocal and instrumental music program as well that wins national awards regularly. Even if your kid doesn't play an instrument, they have a system in place to get a kid up and going in 9th grade. Lots clubs as well.
Some additional pluses-
1. Learning center is included in tuition. The staff that runs the learning center is phenomenal at working with kids of all abilities.
2. They really seem to get boys. Much of the staff have been there for 20+ years and they don't seem tired of it at all. They really seem to grow a brotherhood and not the brotherhood of obnoxious fraternity brothers.
3. Textbooks were included with tuition. Instrumental and vocal music program try to reduce the out of pocket expenses etc.
4. Strict no cell phone policy
