I'm one of the Ninja fan PPs. I've been using mine for food-processing as well as blending tasks. I never used my old Cuisinart's specialty attachments, like the slicer, so the Ninja does the trick for me. I find the tall spiral blades that occupy the whole height of the blender jar comparable to or better than the standard blade in a food processor. I appreciate not having to deal with holding the blade in place from below when I pour from the container.

What about blenders with food processor? Or do these recommendations handle that as well?
