Yeah, but some of the processed crap is soo yummy!
TJs is easy intstant meals and snacks for young/single people, Costco is for families that mostly cook from scratch.
Disagree. Costco is for gluttons who want a giant pre-made pot pie, pallet of disgusting croissants, or a gallon of mayo
I wonder if they use fewer preservatives on their produceAnonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I get staples at costco. Trader Joes is mostly processed crap with really good marketing
Disagree with the Trader Joe’s comments- I am able to do 99percent of my shopping at Trader Joe’s. We eat healthy and not a lot of processed at all. It’s easy to get real, whole food ingredients to cook with.
Really? They have good frozen foods and snacks but the produce goes bad so fast.

I get that Costco has some seasonal things and great sales once in a while on a limited set of items. I have gone to Costco on two separate occasions to see if i like it and both times i could not find my favorite products, the savings per oz were very tiny to justify buying so many boxes of one thing. Diapers and wipes, paper towel are among some of the many times that have a better price on Amazon. My two centsNo pun intended. Oh and on TJ - they have excellent meat, milk, bread, eggs, butter, yogurt, fruit ... not sure what the person saying they have processed only is talking about, they do have processed but so does every other store.

DP. I never understand comments like these. How long are you expecting fresh produce to last?! It's SUPPOSED to go bag if you don't use it within a few days.
I've never had a problem with the produce from TJs, but I use things within days.
If you're expecting produce (other than apples, onions, potatoes, etc) to last 1-2 weeks, then you're doing it wrong. Because that's not normal.
