Subject: FVU Away Conference Travel Fees
There’s too much risk and liability with team bus trips. Very difficult to keep kids out of trouble at the hotels as well.

The arguments against this have been weak all along, and one of the bullet points was, "Yeah, but the camaraderie you get from traveling as a team is good for the kids." Travel soccer is more about lining the pockets of adults than developing the talents and futures of kids. More true now than ever.

I think you are an outraged party of one on this one. $500 for a team fee that would have included all those buses, hotel rooms is far too low and not consistent with any other ECNL club. Every parent I've spoken to indicated the bus was an additional fee per out of town trip in previous years in addition to the team fee (when/if bussing was used)

I’m with FVU and only paid 500 team fee that included this…

Away fixture travel costs- This covers the transporting of balls, VEOs, and other additional gear that teams may need.
*Additional Tournaments: If a team

I assumed buses and assumed that would be an extra fee as it has at a few clubs I’ve been with in the past.
FVU only updated their website after they were confronted about TEAM Travel and reworded it to stated equipment.

Teams bond on busses
VDA has never used buses in ECNL. It’s always been family travel for girls teams.
It’s consistent among the teams.
