Trump for his presence at the recent Section 60 gathering, honoring our children and their fallen brothers and sisters. On the three-year anniversary of the Abbey Gate bombing, the president and his team conducted themselves with nothing but the utmost respect and dignity for all of our service members, especially our beloved children.
We had given our approval for President Trump’s official videographer and photographer to attend the event, ensuring these sacred moments of remembrance were respectfully captured and so we can cherish these memories forever,” the statement continued. We are deeply grateful to the president for taking the time to honor our children and for standing alongside us in our grief, offering his unwavering support during such a difficult time. His compassion and respect meant more than words can express.”
Statement from aunt, sister, and mother-in-law of Sgt. Nicole Gee, and the parents of Staff Sgt. Darin ‘Taylor’ Hoover. Trump was pictured smiling and giving a thumbs-up at both of the Marines’ graves on Monday.
The families do not make the rules. As it has been stated, over and over again, it was fine for him to be there, but not to use the pictures.
Please explain how this was a formal campaign event that violated the applicable law.
From the Families: We had given our approval for President Trump’s official videographer and photographer to attend the event, ensuring these sacred moments of remembrance were respectfully captured and so we can cherish these memories forever,” the statement continued. Seems like the families wanted Trump to capture the moment for their benefit and gave him permission to use their video and images.
You might say that this is semantics, but it's interesting that these families didn't ask Kamala Harris to attend, and President Biden is on vacation (again).

So either this footage doesn't exist, or it exists but does not back up their story. It really doesn't matter which - this is just their way to deflect and delay until everybody moves on to the next controversy.
They'll release the footage in two weeks. You'll see then!

Draft dodging Republicans and their stupid flying monkeys (incl. former military) have no shame and already attack/mock Dems who've served. We don't have to imagine the reaction to this because Republican support for the military is based solely on sending them to die for special interest and killing bills that would help vets.

He is so clueless about basic rights and wrongs. I don’t know how any veteran or active service person can support him given his on going insults such as his recent Medal of Honor diss.

The Abbey Gate Families and Survivors invited Trump to lay a wreath in remembrance of the day and the Fallen. The Families invited Trump and wanted him present.
It was fine for him to be present but photos and videos were not allowed. But Trump would never do anything like that if it wasn’t recorded to benefit him in some way. And then Trump’s team assaulted the Department of the Army employee who asked them to stop breaking federal law. 32 CFR § 553.32(c) holds that memorial services and ceremonies at Army National Military Cemeteries will not include partisan political activities.
Trump was the invited guest of Marine Families who have dead children buried in Arlington. When your child is blown up and killed in Afghanistan, and buried in Arlington, you can invite whomever you want lay a wreath at their grave. If you want a picture with them, you can take a picture. You are allowed that as your child is gone forever and died violently in Service to America.
The video of Trump laying the wreath with the disabled female Marine vet was livestreamed.

What’s your point exactly?
Obtuse people like you don’t get to tell Gold Star Families what they can do at their children’s graves.
The Arlington National Cemetery does.
You think Arlington tells families they can’t take photos at their loved one’s resting place? Really?
As has already been explained several times, families can take all the photos they want. political campaigns cannot, as per the clearly defined rules.
Seeing as you can't understand such a simple concept after multiple people have clearly explained it to you, it's obvious why you're a Trump supporter.
MAGA’s faux obtuseness is just boring now.
What remains clear is that MAGA remains in thrall to a psychopath.
