We regularly make deviled eggs (with avocado filling and a variety of flavors) in our house as after school snacks.

I made my kids tuna noodle casserole last spring and they loved it. Now it’s on the list of meals they make when it’s their turn to make dinner.

I agree with the general gist of your sentiments, but I just can’t quit pigs in a blanket. They are so scrumptious!

Hamburger helper is the name of a convenience food that made a dish more convenient. It’s literally beef, gravy, cream and noodles. I’m sure it existed long before the name. We now add sour cream and call it stroganoff.

Sloppy joes are basically chili. Which is also beef, tomato sauce and spices. Also a meal that has existed for God only knows how long.

We do? Now? I don’t know anyone who’s eaten stroganoff in 40 years.

How exactly is it processed? What are you eating that isn't "processed"? That doesn't really mean what you think it does.

NP. Homemade sloppy joes are fine, but Hamburger Helper and Shake n Bake are clearly boxed, processed foods. This isn’t really up for discussion.

I make sloppy joes. It's one of my husband's favorite meals. I have a few variations. Sometimes replace part of the meat with lentils or mushrooms.

This is what this site is for. What I was saying is if op likes the food than it doesn't matter who in the world eats it. I was not saying no one should comment on the food choices.
I'm going to assume the best and that you did not understand what I was saying.

I used to like chocolate shakes and chocolate ice cream with jimmies. Now I think they are too sweet.

I once convinced a friend who was making a "Korean Beef Bowl" for her DH to use freshly grated ginger and fresh garlic instead of powdered both, and he wouldn't eat it because it was too spicy!

I actually buy the packaged hamburger helper and I have a pack of shake and bake in my pantry too haha. I don't eat sloppy joes though.

I consider these junk/convenience foods. Not great for every day, but sometimes you need to get food on the table super quick and not have to think about it. I actually really like making homemade hamburger helper (https://damndelicious.net/2018/09/16/creamy-beef-and-shells/ ) but I still buy the packs when they go on sale.
