There are no school sponsored elementary school sports where I am. Everything public is open to girls and boys.


No ES has school sponsored sports. The thread is about after-school clubs which are privately run and are not sponsored or paid by the school, though they may have permission to use school space.

Wood Acres has a girls running club that is run by 2 high school students from Whitman. It is well done and the kids love it.

If you are looking for a program for your son, you can sign up for the Bethesda Track club which is co-ed. There is cross country in the fall and track in spring and summer. There is a novice group and more experienced group. You don’t have to compete. Just show up for practices if that is what interests your kid.
